published it. I have previously stated how there’s no time to do PR and development, but I realized that I can at least publish some raw material without much thought to presentation qualities. It’s not good enough to sell the idea to people, but it is sufficient to showcase my research to people who I’m already in contact with.

I’ve been around Twitter lately. Being distanced from social networks for many years, it’s fascinating the dynamics of such platforms. On the surface, there’s the awe of being able to endlessly engage in interesting conversations. Upon reflection, though, there’s no substantive intellectual engagement. It feels more like indulging in an ego trip. Delusions of belonging and acceptance. Not to mention that the majority of content is simply lost.

It’s so tempting to chase approval from peers, yet it’s only the consumer that matters. Often I look at the pile of innovations I’m making and think “I should publish something, make some buzz”, but then I realize this will get me no closer to launching my idea – it’s just a distraction from work. This is the reason I haven’t yet published fragments of my research. As a solo founder, there’s simply no time to do development and PR. So development it is.

Today I was very pleased to hear from an online friend, whom I’ve introduced to the topic of ontology design, that he was able to make substantial progress using the methodologies we’ve discussed! Here’s what he said:
fwiw i tried to apply what you said about design ontologies and stuff to solving how rotations work in my user interface, I managed to come up with a solution in like a couple of hours! for something I had been struggling with for ages and never made much progress on – neftaly
